Cups
Bluffing with dice
Five dice under a striped cup each. Bids climb on all the dice on the table until somebody calls Fib!

Free family bluffing game
In your browser. No download, no account, no ads.
Everyone hides five dice under a striped cup. Bid on all the dice on the table, raise the bid, or call Fib! and lift every cup at once. Lose, and you shake your soda can. Somewhere between three and six shakes, it pops.
Pourquoi c’est génial

Think the bid is too big? Call Fib! Every cup lifts at once, on every phone, and the dice that matter count up one by one.

Every can hides a pop point between three and six shakes. Nobody knows where. Not even you.

Out of the game, still in the fun. Point at who'll shake next and earn crowd points when you're right.
Shake or tap to roll, hold to peek. Your dice stay on your screen, hidden from everyone else.

Cups is bluffing with dice. Pile is bluffing with flavour cards played face down. Same can, same pop.

Six critters fill empty seats, and each fibs its own way. Pick Easy, Normal or Clever.
How a round goes
Cups, the main mode. Each round ends in one Fib!, and somebody shakes.

Shake your phone, or tap the cup, to roll five dice. Hold the cup to peek. Only you see them.
Bid on every die on the table: "at least four 5s". Fizz faces are wild. The next player raises, or…
Every cup lifts. Enough dice? The bid stands, and the caller shakes. Too few? The bidder shakes.
The stake
Lose a challenge and you shake your soda can. It pops somewhere between three and six shakes, and nobody can see where: not you, not the bots, not the table.
Two ways to fib
Bluffing with dice
Five dice under a striped cup each. Bids climb on all the dice on the table until somebody calls Fib!
Bluffing with cards
Tonight's flavour is Grape. Play one to three cards face down and say they're all Grape. Mystery cards count as anything. Play on, or call Fib! and flip them.
Real screens

Meet the critters
Pick any critter as yours. The rest fill empty seats as bots, each bluffing its own way.

Fox · ginger fizz
Sly. Fibs often, rarely calls, and reads your bids.

Bear cub · root beer float
Bold. Big raises. Loves to turn up the pressure.

Owl · cola
Careful. Plays the odds and calls only when the maths says so.

Raccoon · cherry fizz
Wild. Bluffs big. You never quite know.

Frog · lime fizz
Jumpy. Calls Fib! fast and loud.

Hedgehog · mint cream
Shy. Small, safe raises, and a soft spot for Exact!

Play alone against the critters, or fill out a small table.
Open the game on a TV or laptop to show every bid, every reveal and every can. Never anyone's dice.

Bon à savoir
For parents
No ads, no purchases, nothing to unlock. Nothing in the game is for sale.
Nobody bets anything. The only stake is a cartoon soda can that pops in harmless foam.
Rooms are private: only people with your code, link or QR can join. Players send six cartoon reactions, never typed messages.
Settings and your Fib record stay in your browser. An online room keeps only names, critters and moves, and deletes itself 14 days after the last move.
Questions
Yes. Fibs & Fizz is free to play in your web browser. There are no ads, no in-game purchases and nothing to buy: no coins, no chips, no extras. You don't need an account.
Yes. In Fibs & Fizz a fib is a move in the game, like a bluff in a card game: everyone knows it's allowed, and the reveal shows who was right. Nobody bets anything: the only stake is a cartoon soda can that pops in harmless foam, and a popped player keeps playing as a heckler. There's no money, no chips and no chat.
Two to six. Every seat can be a person or a critter bot, so one person can play against bots, and a family of six can fill the whole counter.
No. You can pass one phone or tablet round the table: one shake rolls every cup, and a curtain covers the screen between turns so each person peeks at their own dice in private. Or each player joins on their own phone with a room code, link or QR code. A TV or laptop can show the table for everyone.
No. Open play.qubesoftware.com/fibs-and-fizz in a web browser and tap Play here. It runs on phones, tablets and computers. Online play asks only for a name and a critter.
Everyone rolls five dice under a cup and peeks at their own. Taking turns, players bid on how many of one face are under all the cups together, like "at least four 5s"; fizz faces (the ones) are wild. Each bid must go higher, until someone calls Fib! Every cup lifts: if there are enough, the caller loses; if not, the bidder does. The loser shakes their soda can, which pops somewhere between three and six shakes. Pop, and you're out and heckling. The last can standing wins. Pile mode plays the same way with flavour cards played face down.
About 12 minutes with four players, about 5 with two, and 20 to 25 with a full table of six. The Quick fizz house rule, with shaky cans that pop sooner, makes games about twice as fast.
We'd say 8 and up. Cups asks you to count dice across the table and keep a straight face; the bid sheet shows how likely a bid is, which helps. Younger players can start with Pile, the card mode, which needs no counting.
Online rooms are private: friends join only with your room's code, link or QR code, and there's no public lobby and no matching with strangers. There's no chat: players can send six preset cartoon reactions, and the only words other players see are each person's name. No ads and no purchases.
The game is in English for now.
