This policy explains how Qube, LLC handles information in Allowance by Qube. The short version is simple: your family ledger stays on your device or in backup files you control, and Qube, LLC does not receive it.
A private family ledger
Allowance is a parent or guardian tool for recording virtual family balances. It is not a bank or payment service, and no real money moves through the app.
The app can store your family name, child names and details, balances, transactions, notes, recurring rules, savings goals, and app settings locally on your iPhone. Core features work without an account or an internet connection.
Data we do not collect
Qube, LLC does not collect, receive, or have access to information you enter in Allowance. The app has no Qube account, bank or card connection, advertising, subscription, or third-party analytics or tracking.
- No account or profile is created with Qube, LLC.
- No family names, child details, balances, transactions, or notes are sent to Qube, LLC.
- No advertising identifiers, analytics events, or tracking data are collected.
- No bank account, debit card, or payment information is requested.
Local reminders
If you enable reminders, Allowance asks iOS to schedule notifications on your device. These reminders are optional and local. Qube, LLC does not operate a push-notification service for the app or receive notification activity.
Face ID and device passcode
The optional app lock uses Apple's LocalAuthentication system to ask iOS to verify you with Face ID or your device passcode. Authentication is performed by iOS. Allowance and Qube, LLC do not receive your Face ID data, passcode, or biometric information.
Export, import, and iCloud backup
You can export a local backup file and later import a file when you choose. You control where exported files are saved or shared and who can access them.
Optional iCloud Backup stores backup files in your personal iCloud account. It is backup and manual restore, not live multi-device sync. Qube, LLC cannot view, retrieve, or manage those files. Their storage, availability, security, and deletion are controlled through your iCloud account and are also subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
Your local ledger remains on your device until you reset app data or uninstall Allowance. Resetting the app removes its on-device family data. Uninstalling removes the app's local data according to iOS behavior.
Resetting or uninstalling does not necessarily remove backup or export files stored elsewhere. Delete local exports from the location where you saved them. You can also use Apple's Files app to find and delete Allowance backup files in iCloud Drive. Qube, LLC cannot delete or recover those files for you.
Sale, sharing, and service providers
Qube, LLC does not sell, rent, share, or disclose your family ledger or app usage data. Because Qube, LLC does not receive that data, there is no server-side data request, export, or account-deletion process.
Children's privacy
Allowance is designed for use by a parent or guardian, not as a service where children create accounts. Qube, LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else through the app.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and its effective date will be revised. Features that change data collection would also require updated App Store privacy disclosures.
