Be the storm. Crash the party.
You're a little cloud with big plans. Drink up a lake, drift over a birthday party and rain until everyone runs for cover. Every party you crash makes you bigger, until even the Big Game isn't safe.

How a storm goes
You are a storm. Parties are happening. This is unacceptable.

Drink up
Your rain runs on water. Float over a lake or the sea to slurp it up, and soak up heat over deserts and towns to power lightning.

Crash the party
Rain on a picnic, blow away a wedding, zap the Big Game. Every party has a Resolve bar. Empty it and the crowd goes home.

Grow bigger
Every crash pays XP. Level up, pick a new power from three cards, and watch your cloud grow bigger and darker.
Grow your storm
From wisp to supercell.
Your storm starts tiny. Every level makes it bigger, darker and louder.

Level 1
Wisp
Small, white and adorable. The picnic thinks you're a decoration.

Level 5
Rain Cloud
Heavier, greyer and ready to ruin a wedding.

Level 15
Thunderstorm
Tall, dark and crackling. Now lightning gets interesting.

Level 25
Supercell
The biggest storm in the sky. Even the stadium looks worried.
Your weather
Pick the right weather for the job.
Weddings hate wind. The stadium hates lightning. A pool party barely notices rain.

Rain
A steady drizzle under your cloud. Soaked guests give up faster.

Gust
A directional shove. Launches the lightweight and the unlucky.

Lightning
Targeted strike. Stadiums have RULES about this.

Hail
Level 1: annoying pellets. Level 5: softball-sized property crime.

Tornado
Spawns a semi-autonomous chaos gremlin. It has its own ideas.

Smartcast
Teach your storm to cast on its own, so you can just steer.
On the guest list
Twenty things to rain on.
From a quiet picnic to the Big Game, every party has a weak spot, a stubborn streak and plenty to say about you: 690 crowd lines in all.

The humans fight back
Stay too long and they get ideas.
The longer your storm blows, the harder the town fights back. Most attacks are marked on the ground first, so keep moving.

When the storm ends
Every cloud has a silver lining.
Every storm dries up in the end. Yours floats up to Cloud Nine with the Silver Linings it earned, and you spend them on upgrades that last forever: 40 of them, in five trees. Then you start a stronger storm.

Where it plays
A real 3D game for iPhone, iPad, Mac and the browser.

Questions
Questions families ask
What is Stormcrasher?
Stormcrasher is a funny 3D game where you play a storm cloud. You drift over a little low-poly world, drink from lakes, and rain on picnics, weddings, fairs and the Big Game until the crowds give up and go home. Every party you crash levels you up, and your storm grows bigger and darker. It's made by Qube Software and is coming to iPhone, iPad and Mac.
When is Stormcrasher coming out?
There's no release date yet. Stormcrasher is still being built: it already runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac in testing, and it will come to the App Store and the browser when it's ready. This page will link to it the day it's out.
What devices does Stormcrasher need?
A recent iPhone, an iPad from the 9th generation (2021) on, or a Mac. It's a real 3D game, so older devices aren't supported; the 6th-generation iPad, for one, is too old. It plays in landscape, with touch controls on iPhone and iPad and keyboard and mouse on a Mac.
Can I play Stormcrasher in a web browser?
Not yet. A browser version is coming, alongside the iPhone, iPad and Mac apps, but there's nothing public to play today. Qube's other games are made for the browser, and most of them play free right now: you'll find them all on this site.
Is Stormcrasher free?
Its price hasn't been announced yet. The game as it's built today has no ads and nothing to buy inside it.
Is Stormcrasher OK for kids?
Yes. It's cartoon slapstick: guests get soaked and blown about, and nobody is ever hurt. It's a one-player game with no chat and no strangers, and today's build needs no account and plays offline without sending anything over the internet. We suggest it for ages 8 and up, because of the reading on the power-up cards and the planning a storm takes.
How many players is Stormcrasher?
One. You're the storm, and the whole town is your opponent. There's no multiplayer or online play.
How do you play Stormcrasher?
Steer your cloud with the thumb stick (or WASD on a Mac) and rain on any party below. Each party has a Resolve bar: empty it and the crowd goes home, and you earn XP. Your rain runs on Moisture, so drink from lakes and the sea before you run dry, and gather Heat over deserts and towns to power lightning. Level up to pick new powers, dodge what the town throws at you, and when your storm finally dries up, spend its Silver Linings on Cloud Nine to start the next one stronger.
How long is a game of Stormcrasher?
A storm lasts until it runs out of water. The game is built for storms of 20 to 30 minutes, and your first ones will blow over sooner. You can pause any time, and a storm in progress is saved so you can continue it later.
What languages is Stormcrasher in?
English. The game has no other languages yet.
