Secure Clipboard Manager for macOS

Effective July 11, 2026

This policy explains how Qube, LLC handles information in Secure Clipboard Manager. The short version is simple: the app processes your clipboard on your Mac to provide clipboard history, and Qube, LLC does not receive that history.

What the app processes locally

While capture is on, Secure Clipboard Manager reads new macOS pasteboard contents so it can show, search, and reuse recent copies. Ordinary history entries are saved in one local JSON file inside the app's macOS sandbox container. Depending on what you copy, an entry can include clipboard content, a timestamp, favorite status, and best-effort information about the source app.

This is on-device processing for the feature you requested. Clipboard history is not sent to Qube, LLC or to a cloud service.

Data we do not collect

Secure Clipboard Manager has no account system, cloud sync, analytics, telemetry, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs. The signed app has neither the client nor server network entitlement, so it cannot make its own network connections. Qube, LLC does not receive personal information, clipboard content, usage events, or diagnostics from the app.

  • No account or profile is created.
  • No clipboard content is uploaded or synchronized.
  • No analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking data are collected.
  • No crash-reporting service receives diagnostics.

Sensitive copies and password managers

Copies that a password manager or another app marks as sensitive are skipped by default. If you explicitly enable recording for recognized sensitive copies, those entries are held for the current app session, marked with a key badge, and excluded from the saved history JSON. They are removed from the app's history when the app quits.

Detection has an important limit: an unmarked secret looks like ordinary clipboard text. For example, a password manually copied from a plain text field may not carry a sensitive marker and can be saved like any other copy. Pause capture before copying material you do not want in history, then clear any entry you no longer want retained.

Source attribution and ignored apps

Source-app attribution is best-effort. macOS clipboard changes and rapid app switches can make the apparent source incomplete or inaccurate. The ignored-app list relies on that attribution, so it is also best-effort. If a copy must not be captured, use the app's Pause Capture control before copying it rather than relying only on the ignore list.

Accessibility permission

Accessibility permission is optional. Secure Clipboard Manager uses it only to generate a synthetic Command-V keystroke for Direct Paste. If you do not grant access, selecting a history item still places that item on the clipboard; you finish by pressing Command-V yourself. Accessibility access does not add analytics, tracking, or network communication.

Retention and deletion controls

You control how long app history remains available. Settings lets you set a maximum history size from 25 to 1,000 items, clear history on demand, and optionally clear history when the app quits. When favorites exist, the app also lets you keep favorites while clearing the rest or delete everything.

Clearing history removes entries from the app's active history and updates its local history file. Copies outside the app, filesystem snapshots, and backups are controlled by macOS and your backup tools.

Sale, sharing, and service providers

Qube, LLC does not sell, rent, share, or disclose clipboard history or app usage data. Secure Clipboard Manager uses no external service provider to process clipboard data. Because the app does not transmit that data, there is no server-side data request, export, or account deletion process.

Children's privacy

Secure Clipboard Manager does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else. Clipboard processing remains local to the user's Mac as described above.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and its effective date will be revised. Any future feature that changes data collection would also require an updated App Store privacy disclosure.
